Farm to Flame Dinners

The Old Red Barn Proudly Supports Local Farmers And Is Passionate About Agriculture Education.

Authentic 1950’s Barn

The Old Red Barn was formally used 20+ years ago as a milking barn for dairy cows. It was brought to life again in 2017 with a new purpose: Farm to Table Dinners. Rustic handmade tables, original wood beams and elegant chandeliers give the barn a timeless feeling. The two giant doors of the barn gives guests the opportunity to overlook whitemud creek, and watch the cows & horses graze under the setting sun.

Farm to Flame Experience

We have curated a unique experience not like anything else in Western Canada. We use hard wood to cook over fire, wood oven and coals to create a meal irresistable to your tastebuds. Using our custom build argentine cooking equipment we draw inspiration from Chef Francis Mallmann. Each course is sure to engage your senses.

Featured Chefs

The Old Red Barn hosts talented chefs from Edmonton & the surrounding area that prepare a high quality, multi course, seasonal meals using locally farm fresh produce. For the 2025 season we have partnered with Chef Tyson Wright to create rotating seasonal menus cooked over fire. To learn more or become a chef click here.

Country Dining Experience

We are passionate about celebrating and supporting local farmers. Each dinner we have a feature a farmer and invite them to share their stories. This giving guests the chance to meet the people who grow our food. Our Farm to Flame dinners are a 3 to 3.5 hour experience, designed to be slow-paced and intentional. Every course highlights the beauty of each ingredient, inviting you to savour a thoughtful meal that reconnects you to the land, the farmers, and the flavours of our region.

Evening was an awesome experience. Service was impeccable, venue is really cool. Very rustic. Owners are very accommodating and attentive. Food was DELICIOUS. It was also a learning experience…. Most of the food items were garnished with an edible flower!! Who knew you could eat pansies and nasturtiums! Would definitely recommend this venue for a relaxing dinner/evening out. — Guest, July 2025, Farm To Flame Dinner

This is my third Old Red Barn experience and I have to say, they knock it out of the park every time! The moment you arrive you are welcomed into such a beautiful setting. Each course carefully explained and you see the passion the team have for fresh local food. The food was, as always amazing! The service top notch and the wonderful people we met along the way. We had family visiting from Ireland so it was good to show them what Alberta has to offer. A great experience all round and will most certainly be back. Thank you Old Red Barn team. -Guest July 2025, Farm to Flame Dinner
